My name is Sue Baker. I am currently the Special Needs Teacher
in the Appleton Elementary Building. This is my 22nd year of
teaching. I've taught 4th grade, 5th grade, Special Needs grades
4-6 and now, Special Needs grades K-3. I finished my BA degree
from the University of Minnesota, Morris in 1984, my Masters
of Education from the University of Minnesota in 1988 and all
of my Special Education Licensures (EBD, SLD and MMI) from
St. Cloud State University and Mankato State University over
a period of several years.
I believe all children can learn and I hold my students accountable
for both their behaviors and learning. I want my students to
become independent and responsible students so that someday
they will become independent and responsible adults. I enjoy
finding the "missing puzzle pieces" for special needs
children that will enable them to learn and be successful people.
Each child I work with becomes a very important part of my
life!
I can be reached from 8:00AM - 4:00PM at the Appleton Elementary
School. I welcome parent questions and involvement as I believe
that you, the parents, are the first and most important teachers
your child will ever have!
