BA. Elementary Education, 1974-1978, Concordia University, St. Paul, MN; Master of Education, Educational Technology Certificate, 1999-2001, University of Minnesota, Duluth. I have held elementary teaching positions in Cologne, MN, Ogden, UT, and the Appleton-Milan Elementary School of the Lac qui Parle School district. My current position is Grade Two at the Appleton Elementary School.

My family and I live on a family farm north of Appleton where I retreat in the prairie landscape, enjoying the seasonal shifts. I grow flowers and do vegetable gardening along with raising our four sons and one daughter. Music is a big part of my life, and I enjoy reading, cooking, and hosting a good discussion with family and friends, including international visitors. My hobbies that currently lie dormant include painting, drawing, and the art of sewing and knitting. I believe learning is the path to hope and opportunity.

The children in our community are wonderful people. It is my privilege to meet with them each day to build their primary skills and inspire their love of life-long learning. The magic of students learning is my love of teaching.
