I have been the School Social Worker for Lac Qui Parle Schools since 2000. My
time is split between the Appleton/Milan Building(am's) and the MMN Building
(pm's).
Each week, I go into each classroom for a half an hour. In
each classroom, I discuss various social issues such
as bullying, empathy to others, conflict resolution,
drugs and alcohol, and a variety of other social skills.
My days are also filled with one on one visits with children to work on social
skills, discuss family issues (ex:divorce) and other counceling needs. I
have also formed social skill groups for peers to work together and increase
friendship
skills.
Please feel free to contact me anytime with concerns you are
having with your child. I am happy to help in any way that
I can.
