This class is an introduction to Spanish.

Giddy Up & Go Junior Master Horseman Club for grades 5-7

Explore a wide variety of horse topics from breeds to health. No horse needed! Crafts, games, fun and learning each session. No fee.

Volleyball League    Grades 5 & 6

New this year! Students from Lac qui Parle Valley have the opportunity to participate in an area volleyball league with students from Benson, Montevideo, YME, RCW, and MACCRAY. There will be league games on three Friday evenings (two of them hosted at LqPV) and tournaments two Saturday morning. Janet Larsen will be the lead volunteer coach. Registration forms will be given to all LqPV 5th & 6th grade girls and are available from LqPV Community Education, sponsor of the league.  

 

 

 

 

 

`Stepping up to keepin` fit`

Open to all youth grades 5-12

Wellness deals with the total person (mind, body, spirit). These sessions will emphasize six factors: physical, social, emotional, spiritual, intellectual and environmental. Join the instructor to work on all of the factors with a smile, stepping into shape. A healthy snack will be provided. There will be 50 minutes of physical activity, 30 minutes of wellness teaching, and 10 minutes of snack/visiting.

Super Sitters Babysitting    Grades 5 and older
A super sitter believes babysitting is a special time, not just a job!  It's very important that a sitter understands the importance of security and responsibility.   In this course, the babysitter learns how to manage mealtime, bathtime, and bedtime along with providing healthy snacks and fun activities for the children they care for. They receive information about safety and health for the position. This is co-sponsored by the University of Minnesota Extension 4-H Program, Countryside Public Health, and LqPV Community Education.

Open to all 3rd & 4th graderswho want to explore the exciting world of science-we will be doing experiments, building lego robotics, making fun foods and sticky goo, and learning other cool stuff!

American Red Cross Swimming Lessons

Lac qui Parle Valley High School Indoor Pool

May 3-7 & 10-13, Nine days

Fee: $25.00/student    Levels I-VI

        $21.00/student for Shorty`s

Swimming lessons will be in the after school/early evening

Sessions will be assigned based on registration totals. 

Registration forms are available at the LqPV elementary schools and high school or contact Community Education. Classes will be filled on a first come-first serve basis. REGISTRATION DEADLINE: APRIL 12.

This awesome opportunity of exploring 4-H through fun and exciting adventures and you can help decide what we will explore! Each session will consist of a nutritious snack, educational activity and learning about your community!  It`s open for grades 3rd to 8th grade.  Here are few things we might explore: Robotics, Fishing. Kidstime - School Age Child Care (SACC)

MMN Elementary School    Call 320-598-7528.

Coordinator: Pat Redepenning.

After school until 6:00 p.m.

Kidstime is a school age child care program for students in grades K-6.  Children spend time in a variety of supervised activities, some active and other quiet.  There`s also time for homework help and a healthy snack. Pre-registration and pre-payment is required.

 

 

 

 

 

Students are welcome to participate in LqPV Community Education classes, events, and 
activities at all of the school buildings. Please pre-register with Community Education
