Leanne Stoeckman

I am Leanne Stoeckman and presently I teach both 5th and 6th grade Spelling and Language at the LqPV Middle School. I have been in this great profession of teaching for 20 years, with the majority of my time being spent at the Milan Elementary School. Although I miss the Milan Building, our transition to our new setting has been a very positive experience for all of us.

When I am not in school, I enjoy being with my family. I have 2 sons and 1 daughter-in-law. Blake is 23 years old and recently graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead. After graduating, he married his high school sweetheart, Rachael Borgerson, on May 19, 2007. It is so nice to have female blood in the family!! Blake and Rachael live in St. Paul where Blake attends William Mitchell Law School and Rachael enjoys being a nanny for 3 boys under the age of 4!!!!! Wow! Now that’s a job!!

Ross is my other son who recently graduated from LqPV and now attends Concordia College in Moorhead. He officially has made me an empty nester which has taken some getting use to…………He is enjoying his first days in college and will continue to pursue his passion for golf!!

Although I am empty nested, I will be getting married this fall to Al Stoeckman. So as I have told my students my name will change after October 15th !! We are very excited and will exchange our vows on the island of Maui, Hawaii.

On a professional level, I feel very fortunate to have the career that I do. One of the best things about teaching at the Lac qui Parle building is seeing all of my past students!! As a 6th grade teacher I would never see my past students in an academic setting after they graduated from sixth grade. These kids made me feel very welcome to a building that I still seemed to get lost in.

In closing, I would like to thank the parents of my students for sharing their children with me. If you have any questions or concerns please give me a call at school……..752-4200.
