I am one of the 5th grade teachers at LQPV Middle
School. Reading and social studies are the subjects
that I am currently teaching. I have been teaching
in the district since 1999. Previously I taught 3rd
grade in the Appleton building and 5th grade in the
Milan building.
After graduating from Augustana College with an
Elementary Education major and a math minor I spent
a year teaching in St. Louis, Missouri, and before
moving to the Appleton area I taught for several
years in the Burnsville School District. My teaching
experiences have including all elementary grade levels
and preschool.
As educators we enjoy meeting parents and other
family members of our students. Family for me includes
my husband, our three children, our son-in-law, our
grandson, and in a few months our second grandchild.
They are a very important part of my life. I think
this helps me understand the important place my students
have in the lives of their own families.
When I am not teaching or spending time with my
family you might see me walking, reading, or attending
a sports event.
Teaching is truly a love of mine. I feel fortunate
to have the opportunity to help students get excited
about learning. I try very hard to meet the needs
of each student and to impress upon them the importance
of treating others with respect. My personal goal
is that I hope to help school be a positive experience
for the students in our school system. Having so
many co-workers who feel the same way makes working
in our school system a great experience.
