Lac qui Parle Valley Schools

My name is Sue Tillma and I teach grades K-6 general music in Appleton, Madison and at the Middle School. I also direct the 5th and 6th grade choir. I taught 3 years in Wisconsin and Minnesota before I came to Milan in 1984 to teach K-12 vocal music. I met my husband (who now teaches at LqPVHS) in Milan. We have two children who are currently attending school at LqPVHS. A few years after our shared high school opened, Appleton and Milan Elementary Schools paired and I began teaching the K-6 general music in both buildings and was the Title One lead teacher.

Watching the students grow and mature for seven years is one of the joys of my job. Music is such a big part of our daily lives that learning about it is essential. I hope that, by the end of their sixth grade year, the students have a solid knowledge base about music.

The general music schedule puts me in different buildings in our district every day so it is difficult to reach me. Please call the office at any one of the school buildings to find out my schedule for the day if you need to talk to me. Another way to reach me is through school email. I try to check messages at least once each day.
