Gentile moved, Funderburg seconded to approve the agenda. Motion carried.

MINTUES

Mitchell moved, Pillatzki seconded to approve the minutes of the meeting of April 23, 2007 as presented. Motion carried.

FINANCIAL REPORT

Superintendent Robert Munsterman reported on Aid Anticipation, enrollment and the

preliminary 2007-08 budget.

CLAIMS

Tebben moved, Gentile seconded to approve the claims totaling $114,254.16 and manual checks totaling $40,273.56 for a grand total of $154,527.72. Motion carried.

BUILDING REALIGNMENT

An open house was held for parents and students. Building tours were given and staff was available for questions.

BUS PURCHASE

Funderburg moved, Pillatzki seconded to accept the bid of $63,936.66 – including the trade of one bus from Hoglund Bus Company thought the state bid program. Motion carried.

LEAVE REQUEST

The leave request from Dana Otto was retracted.

STUDENT COUNCIL

Nichole Anderson reported on upcoming student council activities.

WORLD LANGUAGE & SCIENCE CURRICLUM REPORT

Monica Roggenbuck and Liz Baker updated the board.

Q-COMP LEAD TEACHERS REPORT

Scott Sawatzky and Renae Tostenson gave a review regarding the staff and Q-Comp from the past year.

Mitchell moved, Tebben seconded to accept the July 1, 2007 – June 30, 2008 DAC Lease Agreement as presented. Motion carried.

Pillatzki moved, Gentile seconded to hire Scott Sawatzky as Activities Director. Motion carried.

REPORTS

Superintendent Robert Munsterman reported on negotiations, ECSU Annual Meeting, Symposium on Small Towns, ELL Newsletter, Dollars for Scholars Thank you, Q-Comp Lead Teachers for 2007-08, Commencement, Administrative Goal Review.

Principal Jon Fulton reported on Senior Last Day, Senior Scholarships.

Principal Kipp Stender reported on Q-Comp, testing, schedules for 2007-08, field day, DARE Program.

Education Association Representatives Jody Dahle and Beth Arneson reported on activities in the elementary buildings.

Bev Struxness, Community Education Director, reported on swimming lessons, summer rec, and Milan Community Building.
