We welcome new students to our school district! Our district provides quality education in a caring and inclusive learning environment from birth to graduation. Kindergarten-4th grade students can attend either of our elementary buildings located in the towns of Madison and Appleton. Students in grades 5-12 attend the Middle/High School which is located halfway between the towns of Madison and Appleton. Preschool programs are available at both elementary schools, as well as a center-based child care center located in the town of Madison at Madison-Marietta-Nassau Elementary.

    District Boundaries

District 2853 is one of the largest square footage districts in the state of Minnesota!

If your residence falls outside of District 2853 boundaries, you may open enroll to our district.

All Minnesota students may participate in a number of enrollment options adopted by the state legislature.
Open Enrollment allows students in grades K-12 the opportunity to apply to attend school outside of the school district where they live. No tuition is charged. Lac qui Parle Valley Schools welcomes students from many other districts in western Minnesota through open enrollment.
