Minnesota to China Teacher Exchange Program 2016-2017
Applications are now being accepted from K-12 Minnesota teachers to participate in the Minnesota-China Teacher Exchange Program.  Minnesota and the Hangzhou Foreign Language School, a select high school located outside the city of Hangzhou, have had a teacher exchange program since 1986. Hangzhou is one of the seven ancient capitals of China and approximately three hours south of Shanghai. Licensed Minnesota teachers from any subject area are eligible to participate in either a semester or full-year program to teach conversational English and American culture to students in grades 7-12. Teachers from the Hangzhou Foreign Language School teach Chinese language and culture in Minnesota schools. Teachers from both countries receive compensation and accommodations and are asked to share their experiences and cultural learning with colleagues upon their return.

Read more information about the program on the Department of Education website.Application deadline is February 10, 2016. If you have any questions or want to request an application, contact Ursula Lentz, 651-582-8664.
