Welcome to Lac Qui Parle Valley Schools! We excitedly invite you and your soon-to-be kindergartener to Kindergarten Registration! This open house event will enroll your student in kindergarten for the 2026-2027 school year. Children must be 5 years old on or before September 1st, 2026. 

Madison-Marietta-Nassau Elementary: Thursday, March 26 4:30-6:00pm

Appleton-Milan Elementary: Wednesday, April 8th 5:00-6:30 pm

This is a come-and-go open house event. Registration documents will be completed electronically. Devices will be available on-site to complete registration. If you wish to complete the registration before the open house date, you may do so at this website link/QR Code:

In addition to completing registration, this event will provide parents and incoming kindergarteners the opportunity to explore the school building, meet the kindergarten teachers and more! 

Required Items to Bring (copies can be made on-site):

• Birth Certificate
• Current Immunization Record

Important Note: 

Early Childhood Screening (also known as preschool screening) is required for kindergarten entrance in Minnesota’s public schools. If your child has not been screened, please contact the Community Education office at 320-752-4844 to be scheduled during the spring screenings.
