District Advisory Board

The District Advisory Board, also known as DAB, is the formal advisory group for the LQPV School District #2853 whose purpose is to advise, direct, and support the district in designing, implementing, and evaluating curricula to meet Minnesota Graduation Standards. The DAB membership includes students, parents, community and business members, teachers, administrators, and school board members to ensure that a wide range of perspectives and demographics are represented.

Members meet four times throughout the school year at 5:30 PM in the high school media center or in a rotating location beginning in August and concluding in May. DAB members serve three-year terms.  New members, when applicable, are selected between June and September.  The role of the DAB is to communicate with parents the activities of the committee/district, and to solicit comments and feedback on curriculum and assessment issues.

The District Advisory Board serves in partnership with representatives of the instructional staff, the School Board, and administration in collaboration with other district committees.
